As part of the 4^th edition of the Château en Musique festival, organised by M.G. Art, Duo Sopralis invites you on a musical journey from the Renaissance to contemporary music.

Entertaining, informative and accessible to all, Opera Through the Ages offers a different way to discover the history of operatic singing in the exceptional setting of the courtyard of the Château de La Napoule.

A journey through the history of opera

Throughout the concert, the audience will travel through the different periods in the history of opera and discover how music has evolved, from the earliest works of the Renaissance to contemporary compositions.

The programme highlights the distinctive and complementary voices of Laurie Jauffret, soprano, and Jérémy Bertini, a male soprano whose voice evokes that of the castrati. Their solo and duet performances will be accompanied on the piano by Lucie Moulis.

A narrator will enhance the performance with historical anecdotes and explanations about the works, the composers and the evolution of operatic singing through the centuries.

In keeping with the different musical periods featured in the programme, the artists will appear in period costumes, reinforcing the concert’s theatrical and immersive dimension.

A raised stage and six loudspeakers will provide the audience with good visibility and a high-quality listening experience.

Visitors will be able to explore the Château gardens before the concert.

Parking: several free car parks are available in the evening, including the large Siagne car park, located approximately a 10-minute walk from the Château.
