Les Visiteurs du Soir – Meet Shawn Pinchbeck
22 February @ 10:00 am - 11:00 am

As part of the winter edition of the contemporary art festival Les Visiteurs du Soir (Botox(s), Alpes & Riviera contemporary art network), La Napoule Art Foundation invites the public to experience a unique moment with sound designer Shawn Pinchbeck.
Visitors will discover Ghostly Pleasures and Aural Delight, a participatory installation combining sound and image that reacts to the presence of the audience, created in 2011.
During his residencies at La Napoule in 2024 and 2025, Shawn Pinchbeck captured the Château’s sonic identity — waves, bells, footsteps and distant voices — and transformed them into an immersive sound work that he will also share during this event.
A discussion with the artist will provide insight into his creative process, where field recordings, electronic manipulation and synthetic sounds intertwine to reveal the site’s “hidden music.”
