Mon Week-end aux Musées !

31 January - 1 February

Mon Week-end aux Musées! returns on January 31 and February 1, 2026: a special weekend celebrating the cultural richness of the French Riviera, with nearly 40 participating museums and heritage sites, and a program of free, playful and welcoming workshops and activities (in partnership with Côte d’Azur France).

Free workshop (registration required) – “Dancing Lines” (movement drawing)

An immersive creative workshop at the Château de la Napoule, led by multidisciplinary artist Rachel Berkowitz (painting, photography, performance).

Inspired by Wassily Kandinsky and the artist’s series Life is Soirée, this workshop invites children and adults alike to explore drawing as a language of movement, rhythm and emotion—lines, loops, gestures and color guided by music. Here, the goal is not to draw what you see, but to draw what you feel. A joyful, accessible experience where creativity flows through the body and the senses.

  • Time: 3:00 PM
  • Audience: children & adults (all levels)
  • Materials: provided on site
  • Workshop fee: free (registration required – limited spots)

➜ Register for the workshop (required)

Important: the workshop is free, but entry to the Château is not included. Admission must be purchased on site at the ticket office:

Guided tour at 2:00 PM (no registration)

A guided tour is offered at 2:00 PM (on January 31 and February 1). No registration required, subject to availability. Price: €8 (admission + guided tour).

Rachel Berkowitz
Rachel Berkowitz – multidisciplinary artist

About the artist – Rachel Berkowitz

Rachel Berkowitz is a multidisciplinary artist whose practice spans painting, photography and performance. Raised in London and now based in Los Angeles, she creates luminous, emotionally charged works that explore the interplay of nature, light and human connection. Her imagery draws on themes of biophilia, femininity, movement and inner transformation, blending references to classical art history with contemporary color, gesture and atmosphere.

A graduate of UCLA’s Fine Art program (2016), Berkowitz has developed a visual language that merges the romantic nostalgia of London with the high saturation and atmospheric glow of Los Angeles. Her work has been exhibited widely across the United States and Europe, appearing in solo and group showcases in galleries, art fairs and private collections. Her live art performances have graced Paris Fashion Week as well as luxury event spaces worldwide. She has participated in numerous international artist residencies, and her work has received awards in juried exhibitions and been featured in art publications.

Her ongoing series Life is Soirée reimagines Rococo softness through a contemporary feminine lens, celebrating leisure, beauty and emotional sanctuary as essential states of being. Across all disciplines, Berkowitz’s work invites viewers into worlds of softness, delight and expansive inner life.
