SUMMARY:Silhouettes in Blue: A Workshop with Visual Artist Reenie Charrière
DESCRIPTION:We are pleased to present Silhouettes in Blue\, a joyful and participatory workshop-meets-artist talk with visual artist Reenie Charrière\, where drawing leaves the sketchbook behind to unfold directly onto the walls of the Château. \n\nWorkshop – Silhouettes in Blue: large-scale drawing with blue masking tape\nAfter a short musical warm-up to activate the body and explore different poses\, participants are invited to create a temporary collective mural using blue masking tape\, a playful and unexpected medium that allows for all kinds of lines to be drawn directly on the walls. \nUsing provided reference images (animals\, Henry Clews’ fantastical sculptures…) or photos selected on their phones\, participants explore changes in scale by translating an image onto the surface of a wall. It is also possible to work collaboratively by tracing the outlines of a silhouette—an accessible and enjoyable way to create together\, invent a personal visual language\, and transform the space into a creative playground. \n \n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n photo credit: Reenie Charrière\n photo credit: Reenie Charrière\n photo credit: Reenie Charrière\n \n \n \n \n\nDate: Friday\, March 13 \nTime: 4:00 PM \nDuration: 2 hours \nAudience: from 3 years old \nMaterials: provided on site \nRecommendation: please wear comfortable clothing \nAdmission: paid – registration required (limited capacity) \n➜ Register for the workshop (required) \nFees:\n€10: full rate\n€7: reduced rate*\nFree for children under 10 \nOption: you may combine the workshop with a guided tour of the Château at 3:00 PM.\nGuided Tour + Workshop package:\n€15: full rate\n€12: reduced rate*\nFree for children under 10 \n➜ Register for the 3:00 PM guided tour \n*To view the list of documents required to qualify for a reduced rate\, please consult the dedicated page on our website:\n https://www.lnaf.org/fr/visiter-le-chateau/tarifs/ \n\nPractical information\n\nLocation: Château de La Napoule – Avenue Henry Clews – 06210 Mandelieu-La Napoule\nPlease note: kindly arrive 10 minutes before the workshop begins to allow time for ticket validation\n\n \nReenie Charrière – visual artist | photo credit: Laurent Barnavon\n \n\nAbout the artist – Reenie Charrière\n\nReenie Charrière is a multidisciplinary artist who transforms discarded materials into immersive works. SUMMARY:Workshop  – Sensing the Garden: a sensory and poetic exploration
DESCRIPTION:Photo credit: Camille Moirenc \nAs part of Cynthia Imogen Hammond’s exhibition Les Jardins de Marie – Kingdoms within kingdoms\, the Château de La Napoule presents a sensory and poetic workshop in the heart of its gardens\, during the Fête du Mimosa. \n\nWorkshop  – Sensing the Garden: a poetic and sensory exploration\nAn immersive workshop in the Château de La Napoule gardens\, led by writer and artist Stéphanie Filion in collaboration with Cynthia Imogen Hammond. \nSensing the Garden invites participants to immerse themselves in the scents that shape the sensory identity of the La Napoule garden\, warmed by the February sun. Carried by the wind\, the aromas of plants\, earth and sea become subtle pathways for exploring the site in a different way. \nIn resonance with Cynthia Imogen Hammond’s exhibition\, the workshop encourages attention to the garden’s olfactory dimension—often invisible\, yet deeply evocative. The walk continues with the creation of a small scent map\, capturing the fragrant essence of the place\, followed by simple writing exercises that give words to the perceptions gathered. The workshop concludes with a shared moment\, accompanied by a tasting of a beverage and treats inspired by the garden and the Fête du Mimosa. \n\nDate: Saturday\, February 14th 2026\nTime: 2:30 pm\nDuration: 2 hours\nAudience: ages 12 and up\nGroup size: maximum 15 participants\nMaterials: provided on site\nFee: paid – registration required (limited places)\n\n ➜ Register for the workshop (required) \nFees:\n€15 : full price\n€12 : reduced price* \n*For information on the documents accepted for the reduced rate\, please consult the dedicated page on our website:\nhttps://www.lnaf.org/plan-your-visit-2/ticket-prices/ \n\nPractical information\n\nLocation: Château de La Napoule gardens – Avenue Henry Clews – Mandelieu-La Napoule\nTip: please arrive 10 minutes before the workshop begins to allow time for ticketing\n\n \nStéphanie Filion – writer and artist | photo credit: Claire Dibble\n \n\nAbout the artist – Stéphanie Filion\n\nWriter and artist Stéphanie Filion has published several poetry collections with Éditions du Lézard amoureux\, including Cœur mémoire (2023). DESCRIPTION:Photo credit: Camille Moirenc \nAs part of Cynthia Imogen Hammond’s exhibition Les Jardins de Marie – Kingdoms within kingdoms\, the Château de La Napoule invites you to a sensory and poetic workshop in the heart of its gardens\, during the Fête du Mimosa. \n\nWorkshop (registration required) – Listening to the Garden: a sonic and poetic exploration\nAn immersive workshop in the Château de La Napoule gardens\, led by writer and artist Stéphanie Filion in collaboration with Cynthia Imogen Hammond. \nListening to the Garden invites participants to wander through the gardens while paying close attention to the sounds that move through them: the rustle of wind\, the murmur of fountains\, birdsong\, the subtle vibrations of plants\, and the nearby presence of the sea. \nIn resonance with Cynthia Imogen Hammond’s exhibition\, the workshop also invites participants to imagine how the garden might have “breathed” in Marie Clews’s time\, through sounds that seem to travel across the years. Using small scientific instruments that reveal the plants’ subtle music\, this sensory exploration continues with a guided poetic writing session\, transforming what is perceived into short fragments to share. \n\nDate: Thursday\, 12 February 2026\nTime: 10:30 am\nDuration: 2 hours\nAudience: ages 12 and up\nGroup size: maximum 10 participants\nMaterials: provided on site\nFee: paid – registration required (limited places)\n\n ➜ Register for the workshop (required) \nFees:\n€10 : full price\n€8 : reduced price* \n*For information on the documents accepted for the reduced rate\, please consult the dedicated page on our website:\nhttps://www.lnaf.org/plan-your-visit-2/ticket-prices/ \n\nPractical information\n\nLocation: Château de La Napoule gardens – Avenue Henry Clews – Mandelieu-La Napoule\nTip: please arrive 10 minutes before the workshop begins to allow time for ticketing\n\n \nStéphanie Filion – writer and artist | photo credit: Claire Dibble\n \n\nAbout the artist – Stéphanie Filion\n\nWriter and artist Stéphanie Filion has published several poetry collections with Éditions du Lézard amoureux\, including Cœur mémoire (2023). DESCRIPTION:From February 11 to March 1st\, 2026\, the Château de La Napoule presents a solo exhibition by Canadian artist Cynthia Imogen Hammond\, as part of the Fête du Mimosa. \nThrough paintings\, circular formats\, sketches and archival materials\, the exhibition offers a sensitive dialogue with the garden imagined by Marie Clews\, the site’s founding figure. Inspired by Marie Clews’s own description of her gardens as “kingdoms within kingdoms\,” the exhibition invites visitors to experience the site as a living\, layered space shaped by memory\, history and more-than-human life. \n\nExhibition Opening\nThe opening reception for the exhibition Les Jardins de Marie – Kingdoms within kingdoms will take place on Friday\, February 13\, 2026 at the Château de La Napoule\, in the presence of the artist. \n\nDate: Friday\, February 13\, 2026\nTime: 5:30 pm\nLocation: Château de la Napoule\nFree admission\n\n➜ RSVP \n\nAbout the Exhibition\nA former artist-in-residence at the Château de La Napoule\, Cynthia Imogen Hammond develops a practice attentive to relationships between humans\, animals and living landscapes. For this exhibition\, she has drawn on the château’s archives and on close observation of the garden to bring forth a sensitive memory of the site\, including that of a little-known menagerie of white birds once kept there. \nThe exhibition brings together recent and earlier works\, conceived as a sensitive dialogue with the spirit of Marie Clews’s garden. Paintings\, circular formats\, sketches and preparatory works form a parcours that invites visitors to explore the garden as a living space shaped by memory\, imagination and the transformations of time. \n➜ Find out more \n\nPractical Information\n\nLocation: Château de La Napoule – Avenue Henry Clews – Mandelieu-La Napoule\nDates: 11 February to 1 March 2026\nAdmission: Château entry ticket required (on-site ticketing)\n\n➜ Admission fees and visitor information \n\nIn Connection with the Exhibition\nTwo public workshops\, led in collaboration with poet and artist Stéphanie Filion\, will take place in the château gardens in resonance with the exhibition. \n ➜ Workshop Listening to the Garden \n ➜ Workshop Sensing the Garden \n \nCynthia Imogen Hammond\, 2023 | photo credit: Jason Levy\n \n\nAbout the Artist – Cynthia Imogen Hammond\n\nCynthia Imogen Hammond is a visual artist based in Montréal / Tiohtià:ke (Canada). SUMMARY:Seeing Differently – Sensorial Photography with Loeky Firet
DESCRIPTION:About the Workshop\nAs a photographer and filmmaker\, Loeky Firet has forged a deep creative bond with the Château de la Napoule\, whose light\, volumes\, and unique atmosphere inspired part of her film Water in Fire. \n\n“This place has profoundly inspired me — through its play of light\, its structures\, and its unique atmosphere\, both inside and throughout its gardens. Part of my film Water in Fire came to life in this château\, shaped by its light and its spirit.” \n\nIn this spirit\, she invites participants to a sensorial photography workshop\, where the camera is no longer a technical instrument but a means of exploring the power of perception and awakening creativity through the senses. \nThrough sensitive and creative explorations\, participants will be invited to:– Awaken their gaze: learn to see what usually goes unnoticed.– Play with light: explore its nuances\, contrasts\, and reflections.– Discover forms and geometries: perceive the hidden harmony of lines\, volumes\, and shadows.– Refine sensory awareness: let the eyes\, ears\, touch\, smell\, and intuition guide creation. \nIn the inspiring setting of the château and its gardens\, each participant will be guided toward their own visual language — deeply personal and unique. \n\nAbout the Artist\nPhotographer and filmmaker Loeky First develops a sensitive approach where the image becomes an extension of the senses. Her work explores light\, form\, and perception. Part of her film Water in Fire was shot at the Château de la Napoule\, a place that holds an important role in her creative journey. \nDiscover her work: www.waterinfire.com \n\nPractical Information\nDate: Saturday\, November 22Schedule: 10 am – 5 pmLunch: buffet prepared by Myriam du Comptoir Naturo’Participants: 15 to 20 peopleFees: €60 full day (lunch included) / €45 reduced rateAudience: open to all levels\, ages 12 and upEquipment: please bring a smartphone or iPhone \n\nRegistration\nReservation required ⇒ Registration form \n*See conditions for reduced fee. \nImage : ©Loeky Firet
