DESCRIPTION:Sunday 20 September 2026\, from 10 am to 5 pm \nTo mark the European Heritage Days\, the Château de La Napoule will open its doors to the public free of charge on Sunday 20 September 2026. \nThroughout the day\, discover the remarkable history of the Château and its creators\, Henry and Marie Clews\, explore the gardens and enjoy the final days of the temporary exhibition Mise en abyme. \nIn the morning\, three guided tours will be available by reservation. In the afternoon\, visitors will be able to explore the interior of the Château independently\, while the gardens and exhibition will remain open continuously from 10 am to 5 pm. \n\nGuided tours of the Château\nIn the morning\, three guided tours will introduce visitors to the history of the Château de La Napoule\, its gardens and the artist couple who shaped it into the remarkable place it is today. \n\nTimes: 10:30 am\, 11 am and 11:30 am\nDuration: approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour\nAdmission: free\nAccess: advance booking required\n\nThe guided tours will be conducted in French. Written English translations will be available at reception. \nPlaces are limited. Advance booking is required to take part in the morning guided tours. \nBook a guided tour \n\nSelf-guided visit of the Château\nThe interior of the Château will be open free of charge for self-guided visits from 2 pm to 5 pm\, with no reservation required. \nThis is an opportunity to explore at your own pace the interiors of the Château shaped by Henry and Marie Clews during the first half of the 20th century. \nThe site will exceptionally close at 5 pm. \n\nGardens and Mise en abyme exhibition\nThe Château gardens will be open freely and free of charge from 10 am to 5 pm. \nVisitors will also be able to discover the temporary exhibition Mise en abyme\, bringing together works by artists Erin LeAnn Mitchell and Kaitlyn Tucek\, presented in the Galerie Blanche. \nThe exhibition and gardens will be open continuously from 10 am to 5 pm\, with no reservation required. \n\nFood on site\nTo make the most of the day\, the Zand Foodies food truck will be on site\, serving Lebanese food to enjoy in the setting of the Château gardens. \nDiscover Zand Foodies \n\nProgramme\n\n10 am – 5 pm: free access to the gardens and the Mise en abyme exhibition\n10:30 am\, 11 am and 11:30 am: guided tours of the Château\, by reservation\n2 pm – 5 pm: self-guided visits of the Château interior\, no reservation required\n5 pm: exceptional closing of the site\n\n\nPractical information\n\nDate: Sunday 20 September 2026\nOpening hours: 10 am to 5 pm\nVenue: Château de La Napoule\nAdmission: free\n\nAccess to the gardens\, temporary exhibition and afternoon self-guided visit does not require a reservation. \nOnly the morning guided tours require advance booking\, subject to availability. \nParking: several public car parks are available near the Château\, including the Siagne car park\, located approximately a 10-minute walk away. \n\nBooking guided tours\nAdvance booking is required for all three guided tours taking place in the morning. \nPlease note that the guided tours will be conducted in French.
